1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Community Hub platform operated by The Language Access Lab Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

The Community Hub is a platform that connects interpreters with organizations and individuals seeking language access services. We provide tools for interpreter profiles, a public directory, connection requests, community resources, events, and professional development.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information about your qualifications or certifications
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users or community members
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other accounts
• Scrape, data-mine, or collect user information without consent
• Use the platform to send unsolicited communications or spam

5. Interpreter Listings

Interpreters listed on the platform are independent professionals. The Language Access Lab does not employ, endorse, or guarantee the qualifications of any interpreter. We do not verify certifications unless explicitly stated. Users engaging interpreters do so at their own discretion and risk.

6. Connection Requests

Connection requests are facilitated through the platform but any resulting agreements, contracts, or engagements are solely between the requesting party and the interpreter. We are not a party to any such arrangement and bear no liability for disputes arising from them.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality of the platform are owned by The Language Access Lab Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. User-generated content (bios, profile information) remains the property of the respective users, but you grant us a license to display it on the platform as part of the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Language Access Lab Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or platform announcement.
